How to set up basic wallet settings
This article will guide you through the basic settings of OKX Wallet, covering wallet management, custom networks, address book, preferences, and wallet connect, helping you quickly get started with wallet features.
Q: How do I access the wallet settings page?
In the wallet app, tap the Main menu in the top left corner to find the wallet settings option.
Wallet Security Settings
Q: How do I change my wallet password or verification method?
On the wallet settings page, select Password > Authentication method. You can choose your preferred authentication method (biometrics or password), then follow the page instructions to complete the process of changing your authentication method.
If you want to change your wallet password but the Change Password option is not displayed on the page, please switch your current authentication method to "Password" first. After switching, you can follow the prompts on the page to modify your password.
Please note that you need to enter your current password when changing your password. If you have forgotten your current password and cannot complete the change, you can choose to reset your password and re-import your wallet to set a new password.

Wallet management
The wallet management feature helps you manage your wallet assets. With this feature, you can easily add wallets and accounts (create a wallet, import a wallet, connect a hardware wallet, use a watch-only wallet), remove wallets, and change wallet and account names.

Custom Network
If you want to use an EVM-compatible chains that is not yet supported by your Web3 wallet and manage assets on that blockchain network, you can add the network using the custom network feature. Here are the steps to do so:
In the wallet app, tap the Main menu in the top left corner > tap Custom networks > Add network
On the Custom networks page, enter the network name, RPC URL, chain ID, currency symbol and block explorer(optional) . After completing the input, tap Confirm to finish adding.
Note: You need to find the details for the corresponding network by yourself, as the platform cannot provide them. You may try contacting the network's project team to obtain the relevant information. When adding a network, please ensure that the information you enter is accurate to avoid affecting subsequent interactions.
Address book
The address book feature helps you save frequently used wallet addresses or Exchange account addresses for quick access in the future.
1. Add address to address book: In the wallet app, select Main menu in the top left corner > select Address book > tap Add address, then you can add the copied wallet address to your address book.
2. When making a transfer, select Address book option on the receiving address input page. You can directly select an added address for the transfer, eliminating the need to manually enter or paste the address each time. This not only improves operational efficiency but also significantly reduces the risk of input errors.
Note: Address book option will only appear if the network you select for sending matches the network of the address saved in your address book. For example, if the address saved in your address book is on the ETH network, you will only see the Address book option when you select the ETH network for transfers.
Preferences
In the preferences, you can customize the following options based on your personal preferences to enhance your user experience.
Language | Choose your preferred language to make it easier to operate and read the interface content. |
Currency | Set which quote currency to display your assets in (such as USD, CNY) to help you better understand the value of your assets. |
Appearance | You can choose between day and Dark mode or adjust the app's appearance based on your device's system settings. |
Color settings | Customize Markets rise and fall colors (such as red up green down or green up red down) to match your visual preferences |
Interaction settings | Adjust haptic feedback and screenshot sharing settings |
Count NFTs in total balance | You can set whether to include NFT valuations in your total assets. |
Hide risky transactions in history | You can choose whether to hide risky and small transactions in your trading history. |
Hide low-value assets | You can hide assets with a value between 0.1 and 10,000 USDT. Once the hide setting is enabled, it will apply to all crypto assets you hold in your current App wallet. |
Set value threshold | Small asset threshold setting: assets below the set threshold will be classified as low-value assets and will not be included in the total asset calculation. |
Wallet Connect
Wallet Connect means connecting your OKX Wallet to your Exchange account. After connecting, while logged into the Exchange, you can withdraw up to 10,000 USD within 24 hours without additional verification.
