/ MIP 9: Increase zkApp account update limit is in Review! This proposal suggests raising the cap on account updates within a single zkApp transaction. We invite feedback from developers and the community.
/ Currently, zkApp transactions on Mina are limited to 10 signature-based or 5 proof-based account updates per transaction. This MIP increases the limits to 32 signature-based or 15 proof-based updates. For limits on tx involving a combination of both, please refer to the specs.
/ These limits often force developers to break complex logic into multiple transactions, requiring extra approvals from users and driving up transaction costs. ⚡️⏱️💵 We want to make zkApps simpler, faster, and cheaper to use.
/ What this could enable: (i) Apps like user registrations, payments, or staking rewards payout could process more updates per block. (ii) Powerful zkApp designs with better zkApp/contract composability, such as aggregating attestations from 10 oracle accounts in one transaction
/ MIP 9 aims to expand what zkApps can do by enabling richer, more complex applications without compromising Mina’s performance guarantees. 💪✨
