SSV DAO is launching @ComposeNetwork, the first Based Application (bApp) from the SSV DAO. @ssv_network already secures 14% of Ethereum’s validators and over $20B in staked ETH. Now it’s extending that validator infrastructure to fix Ethereum’s biggest L2 problem: fragmentation.
Rollups solved scalability, but broke composability. Users, liquidity, and dApps are now scattered across 100+ chains. On Ethereum L1, everything, trading, lending, repaying, happened atomically in one block. On rollups, those actions are split apart, slow, and hard to sync.
Bridges tried to reconnect rollups using liquidity pools or market makers. They help with speed, but they can’t guarantee atomicity. If a lock fails on one chain after minting on another, supply inflates or funds get stuck. Ethereum’s rule is simple: everything happens, or nothing does. Compose restores that.

Bridges were supposed to be the fix. But in reality? They’re just a band-aid. And band-aids don’t scale into the future. It’s time to leave them in history. 🧵👇
Compose is a validator-aligned, ZK-powered coordination layer that makes cross-rollup transactions instant and atomic, so the whole L2 ecosystem feels like one chain again. It’s built for Ethereum, and secured by the same validators that keep Ethereum running today.
Here’s how it works: Each rollup keeps its own sequencer. Compose adds a validator-run Shared Publisher (SP) that coordinates them using a Two-Phase Commit (2PC) process. If every chain signals “ready,” the bundle executes. If one fails, everything reverts.
The SP checks that every leg matches using a CIRC-style Mailbox (inbox/outbox) and verifies results with ZK proofs. All legs are then published to Ethereum together in the same block — ensuring atomic settlement across rollups.
Assets move through a Shared Deposit Bridge (SDB) and are represented as ERC-7802 tokens, which are instantly portable between rollups. For users, everything collapses into a single ERC-4337 UserOperation — one click, one transaction, guaranteed inclusion.
The result: • Rollups stay sovereign but gain shared liquidity • dApps deploy once and reach the whole network • Validators become neutral “composers,” routing value back to ETH • Users get atomic, instant UX everywhere Compose makes Ethereum feel unified again.
